If you haven’t already heard or been to New Tribes web page here is the NEWEST announcement – New Tribes has had a name change<\/strong>. \u00a0The picture above is what you will see when you go to the NTM website. \u00a0We are now ETHNOS 360<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Ethnos<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(eth\u00b7nos) is the Greek word for \u201cnations\u201d that is referred to in Matthew 28:19\u00a0where we are told to go and teach all ‘nations’. \u00a0360<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0represents the 360 degrees of our globe. Our goal is to go and see that there is “a\u00a0thriving church for every people”. The 360 <\/em><\/strong>also represents the “full circle” work of taking the gospel to an unreached people group and then training them to take the gospel to other groups. \u00a0That has always been New Tribes ‘mission’ and after 75 years that mission hasn’t changed – only our name has.<\/p>\n

The main reason for changing the name was because the world has changed. \u00a0There are many countries where any one or all 3 of the words in our name ‘New’, ‘Tribes’, and ‘Mission’ caused problems with our mission being able to work in those countries or with certain people groups. We have decided that reaching people in the name of Christ is much more important than our attachment to the name of our organization.<\/p>\n

Please pray that Ethnos 360 will continue to see that a thriving church is established for every people group.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
