{"id":2178,"date":"2021-03-14T20:02:52","date_gmt":"2021-03-15T00:02:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/phil-burns\/?p=2178"},"modified":"2021-03-14T20:02:57","modified_gmt":"2021-03-15T00:02:57","slug":"png-stands-for-papua-new-guinea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/phil-burns\/2021\/03\/14\/png-stands-for-papua-new-guinea\/","title":{"rendered":"PNG &#8211; STANDS FOR PAPUA NEW GUINEA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>How many of you know what that PNG stands for??\u00a0 Of course &#8230;\u00a0<strong>P<\/strong>apua\u00a0<strong>N<\/strong>ew\u00a0<strong>G<\/strong>uinea.\u00a0 Many of you have asked about or have been\u00a0keeping track of the Adventures of Cody and Beka as they prepared for the mission field.\u00a0 You may remember that their first attempt at leaving January 17th was cancelled the day before their flight due to Cody having a positive Covid test!  \ud83d\ude41  They quarantined and then rescheduled their flights for February.  The tricky part was that the only way to get into PNG was on a Humanitarian flight from Malaysia and they found out the last flight would be in February!  They were cutting it close but God was in control. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We took them to the airport on February 21 and they flew east toward the small island nation on the other side of the world.\u00a0 Imagine a 60-70 hour trip with a 2 year old on a plane and going through\u00a0airports!! Then image yourself in their place!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude0a\u00a0God gave them grace and they made it there in one piece, although very tired!\u00a0 We have done some video calls and texting with them. (Very different than when we went to Bolivia\u00a0over 36 years ago!).\u00a0 It is so nice to be able to stay\u00a0in touch with them and still feel like we are part of their lives.\u00a0 We&#8217;ll add a few pictures just because we know you are dying to see them!!
