We had 1 endodontist<\/strong> and 1 dentist<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"May<\/a><\/p>\n

We treated 84 patients<\/strong> representing 11 communities<\/strong> (For most of the people, this was the 1st time they had come to a clinic<\/strong> that we have hosted.\u00a0 Actually, for most people, this was the 1st time they’ve been to a dentist<\/strong> EVER!)<\/p>\n

We treated 3 indigenous groups <\/strong>(mostly Nahuatl but some neighboring groups als0).<\/p>\n

\"February<\/a><\/p>\n

1 couple<\/strong> (below) walked for 1 full day <\/strong>up and down through <\/strong>the mountains to see the dentist. They arrived at the end of our second to last day.\u00a0 It was already to late to see them, and we had already told about 10 people to come the following day because more showed up than we could see that day.\u00a0 We told them if they were the first, they’d see the doctor first, so they should get to the clinic when the sun was coming up.\u00a0 When we arrived early for the last day, they were there waiting!\u00a0 Between them they had 4 extractions<\/strong>, 5 fillings<\/strong>, and 1 root canal<\/strong>.\u00a0 That walk was worth it!\u00a0 They should be pain free for a while, now.\u00a0 They are wearing the traditional clothes of their group.\u00a0 They are from a people group that has been very resistant to the Gospel, and we hope that in some way their contact with us will create an opening in the future for someone to share God’s Good News in their language.<\/p>\n

\"May<\/a><\/p>\n

We did 423 procedures<\/strong>.\u00a0 This included 149 fillings<\/strong>, 19 root canals<\/strong>, 65 extractions<\/strong>, and 4 surgeries.<\/strong> The doctors removed 1 tumor<\/strong> from a lady’s mouth.<\/p>\n

We saw patients for 5.5 days<\/strong>, and then spent the other .5 day<\/strong> cleaning up and packing everything away.<\/p>\n
