People are pulling at you from every direction. \u201cHelp us\u00a0with this!\u201d \u201cListen to that!\u201d \u201cBuy more!\u201d \u201cSell more!\u201d They have amplifiers and flashing colors. I am lost in the noise.<\/p>\n<p>My voice is not heard.<\/p>\n<p>I am without Christ and without hope. There is no opportunity of eternal life for me. Not in my lifetime. I have no way to hear. No one is planning to come tell me about Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1087 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/randy-smyth\/files\/2016\/09\/CIMG2862WebSz-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"cimg2862websz\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/randy-smyth\/files\/2016\/09\/CIMG2862WebSz-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/randy-smyth\/files\/2016\/09\/CIMG2862WebSz-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/randy-smyth\/files\/2016\/09\/CIMG2862WebSz-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/randy-smyth\/files\/2016\/09\/CIMG2862WebSz.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Like mine, there are 3,086<a href=\"https:\/\/peoplegroups.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">*<\/a> language groups of people, or tribes, plus dialects, who will not hear about Jesus until Christians intentionally train, equip, support and send someone to tell them. (UUPG <a href=\"https:\/\/peoplegroups.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">peoplegroups.org<\/a>) Some of them have been begging for a missionary for decades. No one came. No one is on the way&#8230; unless you know someone who might go, or that you could send.<\/p>\n<p>Giving us hope and eternal life will require learning our unwritten language and mysterious culture. It will take perseverance and hard work. \u00a0We will be suspicious of your motives and you will need to earn our trust so that we can hear you above our own noise. We do have our own beliefs, you know. How do we know what you will tell us is true? Will you give us God\u2019s talk or your own? They will have to ask themselves: \u201cIs the value of my life greater than the value of declaring Jesus where He is not known?\u201d Nearly all will say, \u201cYes!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maybe some will decide that telling us about Jesus is worth more.<\/p>\n<p>Teaching us of Jesus may cost them their lives. Aren\u2019t we remote people dangerous? Certainly, it must cost them their wealth, their worldly future, and their health.<\/p>\n<p>The competition for a missionary is fierce. Even now nobody knows enough of His language to tell him of those abstract things like heaven, forgiveness, holiness, judgment, mercy, peace, faith, hope, grace, love, and eternal life.<\/p>\n<p>Other villages have sent <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jeremy-hambrice\/2013\/08\/09\/begging-for-missionaries\/\">stacks<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20211025001059\/https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-mize\/2013\/11\/20\/letter-from-the-isahu-people-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">requests<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/duane-bakken\/2011\/10\/03\/letters-from-tribes\/\">letter<\/a>. \u201cWe try and try but you don\u2019t listen\u2026 Why not us? \u2026 We have a huge desire for a missionary to come and live in our village and jungle.\u201d &#8220;In all other places of the ground we have heard that they have the talk of God but us ones of Isahu are still standing without, we have nothing. I have heard of others hearing this talk in other villages but this talk is not in Isahu yet. So please send some to learn our language and teach us this talk so we can know it too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Not long ago,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/seth-callahan\/2016\/09\/02\/party-poopers\/\">four<\/a> more tribes (Kominimung,\u00a0Batsimba,\u00a0Igana,\u00a0Bakundi) asked for a missionary saying, \u201cWe see that you are teaching the Iski to read and write their language. We know that you will be giving them God\u2019s talk in their language. We are just like them. We don\u2019t have God\u2019s talk, and we have no one to help us. We want this to happen in our villages too. Will you send missionaries to us? We want missionaries to help our people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Are you too busy to hear me? Are you too busy shouting above the noise of\u00a0others to hear our\u00a0voices?<\/p>\n<p>We are not able to compete with the noise. Will some of your people hear a still small voice? Will they come speak to us?<\/p>\n<p>We are listening.<\/p>\n<p>We are ready to hear.<\/p>\n<p>Who will tell us?<\/p>\n<p>Will you?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ethnos360.org\/go\">ethnos360.org\/go<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Acts 1:8 &#8220;&#8230;witnesses &#8230;\u00a0unto the uttermost part of the earth&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Luke 10:2 &#8220;&#8230;\u00a0pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notes<\/strong>: Numbers vary depending on who is counting, their criteria, the source of their numbers, and their definitions of the words describing who they are counting. No matter the number, every indicator shows a great need to take the Good News where Christ is not known. (The author recognizes that God alone enlightens hearts to bring understanding unto salvation and bringing in the harvest. Nobody told them about Jesus, and no one is yet on the way to tell them. Numbers do change as we learn more about our world, so this is a snapshot in time.\n<ul>\n<li>UUPG &#8211; Unreached Unengaged People Groups &#8211; IMB &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peoplegroups.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">peoplegroups.org<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>In 2025, there are <span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">420,040,000<\/span> evangelical Christians. (People who say they believe that telling the untold about Jesus is a priority in the Bible.)
