God has been challenging me lately in 2 Corinthians 1:3-7.\u00a0 God has been reminding me that He comforts us as believers in all our tribulations, that we would then be able to comfort others in any trouble, with the comfort that God gave to us.\u00a0 It goes on to talk about that our afflictions are not just for our good but for the good of others as well.\u00a0 The bottom line is God is in control and nothing comes into our lives unless God allow it and it is for our good and for the good of others.\u00a0 What an encouragement and a\u00a0Biblical way\u00a0to look at the things in our lives that aren’t always easy and pleasant.\u00a0 God is preparing us to comfort others and\u00a0He is using our lives to impact others.\u00a0 Oh that we would allow HIM to have free course in our lives and that He would be our very LIFE!
\nIn the middle of September, Randy & I once again had the privilege of facilitating in an E.L.I.M (encouraging leaders in ministry).\u00a0 This is a one week relaxation, refocus, and refreshing time for Pastors and Missionaries alike.\u00a0 We are there to come along side, listen to their stories, pray for\u00a0& with them, and be of any assistance we can.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It is really a high light of the year for Randy & I as well.\u00a0 We find it as restful for us as the participants we are serving.<\/p>\n
We have had a steady flow of company over the past several months.\u00a0 As part of our Regional Member Care, God has provided us with the wonderful home of three extra bed rooms.\u00a0 We serve folks traveling thru the area bringing their collage age kids to the Bible School, just traveling though the area, and missionaries who are living in\u00a0our 7 state region and other states as well\u00a0that we have contact with.<\/p>\n
Randy has several trips planned to Florida in the up coming months with facilitating more workshops.\u00a0 Pray for him in his travels, workshops and visiting.<\/p>\n
Linda will be at home and has plenty of things to keep her busy as well.\u00a0 Pray for us as we are apart and that God will give us both opportunities to care and love others.
