{"id":258,"date":"2014-02-02T11:15:54","date_gmt":"2014-02-02T15:15:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/randy-wood\/?p=258"},"modified":"2014-05-02T11:17:46","modified_gmt":"2014-05-02T15:17:46","slug":"february-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/randy-wood\/2014\/02\/02\/february-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"February, 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thank You so very much for your prayers for us these past few months.<br \/>\nWe pray you all had a great time with your loved ones during the holiday season.<br \/>\nRandy &amp; I enjoyed a great Thanks Giving, Christmas, and New Years with family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>As I sit and start to write this letter, I (Linda) am looking out the door of our guest room here at our New Tribes Mission home office in Sanford, Florida.\u00a0\u00a0The guest room has a lovely\u00a0view of the lake and river walk.\u00a0 Sorry all those whom are buried beneath the snow.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0This letter\u00a0will not get finished and sent for several weeks, so by the time you receive it we will be back in Snowy, Cold, Wisconsin.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>I was able to travel with Randy for the first couple of weeks in January.\u00a0\u00a0Randy was in Member Care Committee meetings the first week, then we where able to \u00a0visit friends in the area, then I \u00a0flew home \u00a0and Randy remained to \u00a0help \u00a0facilitate two more workshops before driving home.<\/p>\n<p>Randy and I have spent some time reflecting on our various ministries of\u00a0our past many years with New Tribes Mission.<\/p>\n<p>Why are we in New Tribes Mission?<br \/>\nOver 25 years ago, we believed God directed us to be missionaries with NTM. \u00a0We clearly saw a huge need, that there are many men, women, and children around the world that have never heard that Jesus loves them and died for their sins in order for them to have the same relationship with God as we do. \u00a0We count it a privilege and blessing to represent Jesus to those who have never heard His name.<\/p>\n<p>What are we doing in New Tribes Mission?<br \/>\nRandy and I began our journey with New Tribes in 1984 &#8211; 1987, in the training to be part of New Tribes Missions.<br \/>\nIn 1987, we were a part of the staff at Cornetsville, KY, at our training center until 1990. \u00a0We then moved to the Waukesha Bible School in WI. to be \u00a0part of the staff there, \u00a0where we spent 10 years of service.\u00a0 In 2000, we moved over seas to Papua New Guinea for 2 \u00a01\/2 years before returning to the Milwaukee area in WI.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0In 2003, we began the Regional Member Care ministry and continue in this ministry today.<\/p>\n<p>How do we do our ministry?<br \/>\nForemost we believe that God will do all things thru us as we allow Him to be our very life. \u00a0We also believe that God has commanded us to proclaim His name to the ends of the earth.\u00a0 It takes a team to accomplish \u00a0these things and we can&#8217;t express strong enough how thankful we are for each of you,\u00a0 we do\u00a0need each of you. \u00a0We each have the opportunity to be a part of this job of world evangelization. \u00a0 We need your encouragement!\u00a0 We need your prayers! \u00a0We need your monthly financial support! \u00a0We need your input in our lives! \u00a0It truly does take a team and we can&#8217;t do it alone. \u00a0\u00a0Why? \u00a0 There are still many men, women, and children around the world that have never heard that Jesus loves them and died for them.\u00a0 We believe that GOD is not willing that any should perish.\u00a0 We count it a privilege to be His ambassadors along side of YOU.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like more information on how you can be involved more directly, please don&#8217;t\u00a0hesitate\u00a0to write, email or call us.\u00a0 We need more people to be part of our team!<br \/>\nIn His service, Randy and Linda Wood<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thank You so very much for your prayers for us these past few months.
