{"id":1222,"date":"2019-10-21T06:00:21","date_gmt":"2019-10-21T10:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/regina-rodman\/?p=1222"},"modified":"2019-10-21T17:20:24","modified_gmt":"2019-10-21T21:20:24","slug":"october-update-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/regina-rodman\/2019\/10\/21\/october-update-2\/","title":{"rendered":"October Update"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How are you doing?&nbsp;Fall is such an exciting time of year.&nbsp;I hope you are able to enjoy the season well.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Computers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks for your prayers for the computer services.&nbsp; It was busy in the computer shop with just two in the office, but we&nbsp;were able to manage everything.&nbsp; There are certain things remote team members can and can&#8217;t do, so there is a need for harmony, unity.&nbsp;&nbsp;We are using the Teams app to stay connected and put&nbsp;paperwork in all the right places. This streamlined communication through Teams helps everything work better for&nbsp;our team.&nbsp;<br><br>Conferences are held at the home office throughout the year to fill various needs of educational workshops, member care&nbsp;or leadership meetings.&nbsp; Our team is usually quite busy with requests during those weeks to help with special orders or other needs.&nbsp; Recently when member care was here for meetings, we set them up with some new computers.&nbsp; Two computers recently finished were for the Spanish Language Resource team.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Videos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I (Regina) recently filmed a video about one of our staff members here.\u00a0 We have ordered the voiceover.\u00a0 Pray that the story and edit will come together quickly, as I look for images from our library to fill in the story.<br><br>The Wayumi video was shown for a Pastors\u00a0convention in June\u00a0and is now being used by Wayumi to promote the camp.\u00a0 We focused on the story of Youth Pastor Ben Hazen\u00a0and how Wayumi helps him pass on his passion for missions to others. <a href=\"https:\/\/ethnos360.org\/mission-videos-and-mission-photos\/wayumi-expedition-video\">You can watch the video online.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"344\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/regina-rodman\/files\/2019\/10\/wayumi-video-image-600x344.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/regina-rodman\/files\/2019\/10\/wayumi-video-image.jpg 600w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/regina-rodman\/files\/2019\/10\/wayumi-video-image-300x172.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/regina-rodman\/files\/2019\/10\/wayumi-video-image-125x72.jpg 125w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/regina-rodman\/files\/2019\/10\/wayumi-video-image-250x143.jpg 250w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/regina-rodman\/files\/2019\/10\/wayumi-video-image-441x253.jpg 441w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption><a href=\"https:\/\/ethnos360.org\/mission-videos-and-mission-photos\/wayumi-expedition-video\">Watch Ben&#8217;s story here.<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In our language<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was recently encouraged by this quote we shared at a church in North Carolina:\u00a0<br><br>Lisa, Bible translator to the Uriay of Papua New Guinea wrote,\u00a0\u201cWe were translating Ephesians 3 and as we got to verses 17-19, Stenli [my translation helper] got choked up as he thought about how wide and high and long and deep the love of God is. He said, \u2018The more I understand God\u2019s love, the more strongly I can stand even when disputes and hard times come my way. I won\u2019t fall; no, I can keep standing because I\u2019m standing in God\u2019s love.\u2019 Then he leaned over and side-hugged me and said, \u2018Thank you for bringing God\u2019s talk to us in our language. It\u2019s so clear in our language.\u2019\u201d<br><br>It&#8217;s so exciting to see God&#8217;s Word expand to unreached people groups.\u00a0 So much teamwork goes into building a mature church.\u00a0 We see the missionaries on the front lines, like the tip of an iceberg above water, but 90% of the mass is underground.\u00a0 That includes behind-the-scenes missionaries and YOU, our senders and prayer partners.\u00a0 Together we are building the body of Christ.\u00a0 Your prayers are such a critical part.\u00a0 Thank you so much for partnering with us.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prayer requests:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. Computer services:\u00a0pray that things will go smoothly\u00a0and that we will be able to handle requests that come in as several team members are in and out of the office through January.\u00a0\u00a0<br>2. Clarity as I edit\u00a0a video about a co-worker.<br>3.
