Blocked by darkness<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen we are outside of the kingdom of God it is like our thoughts are blocked by darkness and we don\u2019t recognize the meaning of the Word of God,\u201d wrote Sansuw\u00e0, recalling a time before he knew Christ. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs I listened to the teaching of God\u2019s word it was like I was in a dream and I really had no mind to listen to what was being taught. But after a while, my mind slowly opened up to the stories \u2011 and then what got my attention was when I heard about the rich man who died and was thrown into Sheol where he suffered greatly.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy mind continued to open up and I came to understand the good news that Jesus Christ paid for all my sins. I was so happy and thankful that I knew that I would go to heaven when I died. I knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that I was saved and I loved talking about the Word of God.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
God transformed the life of Sansuw\u00e0, the son of a witchdoctor, and he was discipled to become a leader in the Higaonon church.\u00a0 Scott is studying for certification tests in his office. His monitor is sporting the yellow screen to give your eyes rest from the blue light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We had an encouraging trip to Michigan visiting churches and supporters up there. Our sending church is encouraging us to increase our partnership base as well as our ministry. Please pray with us for God’s direction. I well remember Pastor Larkin when I grew up teaching on the prayer of Jabez and how impactful that prayer was:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, \u2018Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!\u2019 So God granted him what he requested.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please pray with us that God will expand our ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “About 10 hours” left for the last line.\u00a0 Copying files for the archive is underway!<\/p>\n\n\n\n It has been difficult last month, with searching for a new car, dealing with a 2K increase in home owner’s insurance, as well as a miscarriage. Thankfully, God has been with us through it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Praise the Lord He provided a white 2012 Toyota Corolla with a great AC for Scott. We were able to jump through many hoops to get the home owner’s insurance back to last year’s price, for which we are thankful. Then we also saw God’s care, in the timing of it all, as we had a miscarriage the week before our trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I said, \u201cGod is just preparing us for harder things to come.\u201d And then we found out my dad has a mass on each kidney. He is getting a biopsy of lung nodules this week so in a couple of weeks we should have a more clear idea of what is next.
