The Gideon Film Festival in Orlando was a blessing to be able to attend.<\/p>\n
I most enjoyed the workshops on screenwriting, the opening session on networking (building up others not yourself!), hearing from an Indian producer on how to do low-budget films, being encouraged by seeing others early works, and well just everything!<\/p>\n
This four-day event enjoyed it’s 6th Annual conference – combining workshops and film viewing. \u00a0It started up in North Carolina, and this is its first year in Orlando. \u00a0It will be back again next year…and I might be also.<\/p>\n
I met a couple of actors, writers, filmmakers and saw a producer I worked under for the 168 hour film festival a couple years ago.<\/p>\n
It was interesting to see the many films. \u00a0Some of them were excellent, and others were too dialogue-driven; yet it was still great to see so many films, whether feature films, documentaries, or short films, and to see up and coming filmmakers using their skills for the Lord and helping each other.<\/p>\n
The last night one of the speakers shared about my favorite verses in Exodus 35:30 on, about how God used Bezalel and\u00a0Oholiab’s skills and artistry to build the tabernacle. \u00a0As he related it to the filmmaking, I also like to relate it to missions. \u00a0We are each using the skills God has given us to build up the church!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
