One third\u00a0of the project is funded!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Cost breakdown of $3187.42:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Computer: $2629<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Service Plan: \u00a0$349<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Adaptor Cable: $29<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Tax: $180.42<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Goal: \u00a0I&#8217;m trying to raise funds for this through December.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/regina-rodman\/files\/2014\/11\/computer-graph1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1008 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/regina-rodman\/files\/2014\/11\/computer-graph1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"595\" height=\"352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/regina-rodman\/files\/2014\/11\/computer-graph1.jpg 595w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/regina-rodman\/files\/2014\/11\/computer-graph1-300x177.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/regina-rodman\/files\/2014\/11\/computer-graph1-500x295.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 595px) 100vw, 595px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Purchasing a new laptop has\u00a0several benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">1. <strong>Current editing software.<\/strong> \u00a0 We just upgraded our video editing suite to the latest version of Adobe Creative Cloud, and Apple is releasing a new OS. \u00a0I use the laptop when we work on video shoots stateside or overseas, and this will allow it to function smoothly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">2. <strong>Current Operating System Software.<\/strong> \u00a0Apple is releasing a new OS, Yosemite, and my old laptop is two operating systems behind. \u00a0This new laptop will have the specs it needs to have the current OS.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">3. \u00a0<strong>1 TB flash drive.<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0My old laptop has been running out of space. \u00a0Having a larger drive, especially a solid state, will be more reliable and effective.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">4. <strong>Speed.<\/strong> \u00a0Let&#8217;s just face it &#8211; this new computer will be faster across the board! \u00a02.6Ghz quad-core processor, with 16GB ram and 2GB built-in to the graphics card. \u00a0This will allow me to work faster to maximize processing time on location.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">4.<strong> Refurbished.<\/strong> \u00a0 Purchasing a refurbished machine will save money while still being able to have current features.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">5. <strong>Use of resources.<\/strong> \u00a0 \u00a0I&#8217;ve been thinking about upgrading for the past three years, but just haven&#8217;t had a peace about purchasing a new model. \u00a0I wanted my old computer to last as long as possible to get the best use out of it. \u00a0 Now the time has come to update my six-year-old computer!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">6. \u00a0<strong>Impact for the lost. \u00a0<\/strong>Of course, the main benefit is that the videos we make help with mobilizing missionaries\u00a0and fundraising, so that more unreached people groups will hear the Gospel. \u00a0This tool will help us continue to make great videos. \u00a0 One of our latest videos is about funding People Group Assessments\u00a0\u2014 that means\u00a0research and survey trips to find unreached people, so that new missionaries can move into locations with no access to the Gospel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/macbook-pro\/images\/buystrip_hero.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"260\" height=\"86\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Link to computer details:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/store.apple.com\/us\/product\/G0PU2LL\/A\/refurbished-154-inch-macbook-pro-26ghz-quad-core-intel-i7-with-retina-display\">http:\/\/store.apple.com\/us\/product\/G0PU2LL\/A\/refurbished-154-inch-macbook-pro-26ghz-quad-core-intel-i7-with-retina-display<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><strong>Would you like to help with the project?
