Almost October? I thought time flew when you were having fun? Has any of the past year been fun? Well, I must admit, I really enjoy all I get to do with Ethnos360…expanding awareness about unreached tribal groups and the training we offer to prepare missionaries to plant churches and translate the Bible; coaching with about 30 families/individuals who graduated from Ethnos360 Bible Institute and went home to connect with sending churches before going on in our training; facilitating EBI online classes and assisting in our online discipleship program. Well, now that I think of it, that must be why time is flying by…because I’m busy as a one-armed paper hanger having fun doing things I love to do. In a way, I’m being what I have been for many years. Oh…and isn’t that God’s desire for us all? To go around being who we have become? Children of God! And you know the beauty of the simplicity of becoming children of God…BY FAITH! Children of God = children of Light…just what this dark world needs, LIGHT. His LIGHT. Him who is the LIGHT, Jesus! And they’ll see Him as we are who we are…His! May God remind us of this truth often, as we encounter many who need to know Him and what He has done through Christ.

I’ve mentioned above much of what we’re busy with on an everyday basis. Occasionally, meetings take place which require a bit of travel. Next month is one of those months. Shirley and I will be traveling to Wyoming for a week-long missions conference at Frontier School of the Bible. We’d welcome your prayers as we represent Ethnos360, present a break-out session, and get to know and speak with students who are interested in missions. I was just there in April, so it will be good to return so soon and continue to build relationships with those I met then.

One day after returning from WY, I head to Wisconsin, to meet with our Ethnos360 Bible Institute Online Education Team for 2 days of meetings. There are 7 of us now working to support our online program and students. We have about 75 currently taking classes with great potential for growth. We are offering a class starting in October on the Book of Mark for $10 (save 94%). Find out more and register here. Praise God too for our 208 students on campus! More than 120 freshmen this semester! PTL!

After the Online Ed meetings, I’ll head over to Michigan to visit our home church for the weekend and give a report on our ministry. It will be so refreshing to see the saints at Skiff and meet their new pastor.

Thank you for praying for Gracia’s visit to ABQ. She was scheduled for 5 events and ended up speaking 8 times. We are so thankful for the folks who helped out by serving snacks or hosting meetings. Lord willing she’ll return in a couple years and the Lord will open more and bigger doors of opportunity. From the wonderful feedback we’ve gotten, God encouraged many through her testimony and stories. Hallelujah! If you’d like to hear her, here are a couple links from her Sunday School time and Church service.

We heard recently of the chronological teaching going on in West Africa. In the ‘W’ people, there are two groups being taught, one on each side of the village. A single gal we know from EBI, Leah, is part of the team and reports there are many faithfully attending. The meetings are at night, which presents some challenges, but overall, there are many actively listening and responding. Please be praying for the W people to understand what is being taught from the Old Testament, in preparation for hearing about Jesus and all He did to reconcile man to God. May there be a great harvest of souls for the Lord when the Gospel is presented.

Since prayer is the work that accomplishes things worthwhile, we’d appreciate yours for:

Our upcoming travels

More students for EBI…on campus and online

God would raise up laborers from Frontier School of the Bible

Wisdom as I coach EBI Alumni (about 30 couples/singles) toward the next phase of training with Ethnos360

More opportunities in ABQ to speak about unreached people groups

That I can do the calendar distribution to Pastors once again in November

Thank you so much for your time, support and prayers.
