B.S. @ church

January 26, 2014 by Rhett and Stacie Stous

Before anyone cries, “sacrilege!!”, let me be clear: “B.S.” is “Bible Study”, and this little notation is appearing over and over in my tiny pocket calendar. God is blessing our time in California way more than we expected (our bad, shoulda known better!). Only a week and a half here has our schedule brimming with meetings with pastors and missions boards, and opportunities to meet tons of people from all different churches! I just looked at our calendar, and our combined Bible Studies and monthly church events at this point averages to two every day! We’ve also gotten to talk with some pastors/”missions guys”, which opened even more doors with other like-minded pastors in the area!

Loving the full calendar!
I'm pretty sure we've never been this social in our lives...

We have been so, so encouraged by the response here so far. We know that the process of raising support and developing partnerships definitely has its low points, but for anyone out there dealing with the hard stuff (and future reference for myself!), this is a reminder that the God we serve is so loving and gracious. Looking back at the last couple years, I can see that the path to New Guinea has often been rugged, with some pretty big potholes to trust God through, but what a faithful God we serve! He has led us to this place, and blessed us beyond measure.
