They are one of the things that we tend to take for granted until something goes wrong.<\/p>\n<p>One of the things we have done while we&#8217;re on home assignment is to have our teeth looked at by our local dentist.  It&#8217;s one of the blessings here in the States, to be able to get to a dentist when it is needed.  You just hop in a car and go.<\/p>\n<p>This fall 5 minutes before Rick was going to talk at a church, he bit down on a breath mint and then felt something hard in his mouth &#8212; a piece of tooth had chipped off.  Since he didn&#8217;t have any pain, we waited until our next dental appointment which just happened to be the following week.  The dentist looked at it and fitted him for a crown.<\/p>\n<p>It is a definite praise that this didn&#8217;t happen in the bush because we didn&#8217;t have to arrange any flights, Rick didn&#8217;t have to stay over night far away from us, and there wasn&#8217;t a long wait while all the logistics were arranged.<\/p>\n<p>You can pray that our teeth will have another four uneventful years coming up!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re thankful for good teeth.
