{"id":2,"date":"2009-08-14T17:54:44","date_gmt":"2009-08-14T21:54:44","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2010-11-02T23:06:51","modified_gmt":"2010-11-03T03:06:51","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rob-ellis\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center\"><em>A Little History&#8230;<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>Rob <em><span style=\"color: #808000\">grew <\/span><\/em>up in South Florida and Amy <em><span style=\"color: #808000\">grew <\/span><\/em>up in South Alabama. \u00a0We were both <em><span style=\"color: #808000\">raised <\/span><\/em>in Christian homes and spent a lot of time involved in church <em><span style=\"color: #33cccc\">activities <\/span><\/em>while growing up. \u00a0We both knew we wanted to do <em><span style=\"color: #33cccc\">something <\/span><\/em>for God, but didn&#8217;t know while <em><span style=\"color: #808000\">growing <\/span><\/em>up what that would be. \u00a0We met in 2001 while <em><span style=\"color: #33cccc\">living <\/span><\/em>overseas, in South Korea. \u00a011 months after meeting, dating, and getting engaged, we got <em><span style=\"color: #cc00cc\">married<\/span><\/em> in July of 2002.<\/p>\n<p>After Korea, we <em><span style=\"color: #339966\">lived <\/span><\/em>in Hawaii for 3 years, where our first <em><span style=\"color: #ff00ff\">daughter <\/span><\/em>was born in 2005. \u00a0This was a wonderful time of serving in our church and learning to be sensitive to God&#8217;s calling to<em><span style=\"color: #339966\"> <span style=\"color: #0000ff\">full-time foreign missions<\/span><\/span><\/em>. \u00a0We left Hawaii in 2006 and <em><span style=\"color: #339966\">moved <\/span><\/em>to Michigan to begin phase 1 of our missionary <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">training <\/span><\/em>&#8211; 2 years of Bible School. \u00a0This is where our\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #ff00ff\">second\u00a0daughter<\/span><\/em> was born in 2007. \u00a0After <em><span style=\"color: #339966\">graduating <\/span><\/em>from New Tribes Bible Institute in 2008, we <em><span style=\"color: #339966\">moved <\/span><\/em>to Missouri for phase 2 of our missionary <em><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">training<\/span><\/em>. \u00a0While in Missouri, our <em><span style=\"color: #990099\">son<\/span><\/em> was born in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>All along our journey since about 2003, we felt a <em><span style=\"color: #339966\">growing <\/span><\/em>interest and <em><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">passion <\/span><\/em>for <strong><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Tanzania<\/span><\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0God has opened some amazing doors which will allow us the unique opportunity to be one of the first teams in Tanzania for New Tribes Mission.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\"><span class=\"bigText-red\"><em>Our Great Commission&#8230;<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<p align=\"left\"><span class=\"bigText-red\">Go<\/span> <span class=\"boldText-red\">therefore and <\/span><span class=\"bigText-red\">make disciples <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">of <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">all the nations, <\/span><span class=\"bigText-red\">baptizing them <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">in the name <span class=\"boldText-red\">of the <\/span><\/span><span class=\"bigText-red\">Father <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">and the <\/span><span class=\"bigText-red\">Son <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">and the <span class=\"bigText-red\">Holy Spirit, <\/span><\/span><span class=\"bigText-red\">teaching them <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">to <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">observe all that I commanded you; <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">and lo, <\/span><span class=\"bigText-red\">I a<\/span><span class=\"bigText-red\">m with you always, <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">even to the end of the age.&#8221; <\/span><strong>Matt 28:19-20<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span class=\"boldText-blue\">OUR MINISTRY&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"boldText-red\">&#8230;is to reach remote tribal people with the Gospel of Christ. More than<\/span> <span class=\"bigText-red\">2,500 <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">people groups are still waiting for the good news of the Gospel. God has entrusted the <\/span><span class=\"bigText-red\">CHURCH <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">with the task of reaching those who have never heard. <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"boldText-blue\">OUR DESIRE&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"redText\"><span class=\"redText\"><strong><span class=\"boldText-red\"><span class=\"redText\"><span class=\"redText\"><strong>&#8230;is to be a part of the <span class=\"bigText-red\">CHURCH&#8217;S <\/span>work in <span class=\"bigText-red\"><span class=\"bigText-red\">REACH<\/span><\/span>ing the nations with the message of Christ.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"boldText-blue\">OUR COMMITTMENT&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"boldText-red\"><span class=\"redText\"><span class=\"boldText-red\">&#8230;is to Go therefore into all the nations and make disciples. We are officially members with New Tribes Mission and in the process of doing partnership development and support raising before heading to Tanzania in 2011. We commit to serving the members of our supporting churches and learning as much Swahili as we can before heading to Africa, so that we will be most prepared and effective when we arrive on the field.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"boldText-blue\">OUR HOPE&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"redText\"><span class=\"boldText-red\">&#8230;is that <\/span><span class=\"bigText-red\"><span class=\"boldText-red\"><span class=\"bigText-red\">YOU<\/span><\/span> <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">will <\/span><span class=\"bigText-red\"><span class=\"boldText-red\"><span class=\"bigText-red\">Partner<\/span><\/span> <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">with us to <\/span><span class=\"bigText-red\"><span class=\"boldText-red\"><span class=\"bigText-red\">REACH<\/span><\/span> <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">others with the good news of the Gospel of Christ. We have faith that our great Provider will take care of our daily needs for life and ministry. We recognize our need for believers to be surrounding us in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ntm.org\/rob-ellis\/pray.php\" target=\"_blank\">prayer<\/a> and supporting us <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ntm.org\/rob-ellis\/give.php\" target=\"_blank\">financially<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p align=\"center\"><span class=\"boldText-red\">Ways <span class=\"bigText-red\">YOU <\/span>can be a part of our ministry<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span class=\"boldText-red\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ntm.org\/rob-ellis\/pray.php\" target=\"_blank\">pray<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span class=\"boldText-red\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rob-ellis\/give\/\" target=\"_blank\">give<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span class=\"boldText-red\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ntm.org\/rob-ellis\/go.php\" target=\"_blank\">go<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n<hr \/>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>&#8230;for &#8220;<span class=\"boldText-blue\">Whoever <\/span>will <span class=\"boldText-blue\">call <\/span>upon the name of the <span class=\"boldText-blue\">Lord <\/span>will be <span class=\"boldText-blue\">saved<\/span>.&#8221; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\n<p align=\"left\"><span class=\"bigText-red\">How <\/span><strong>then shall they<\/strong> <span class=\"bigText-red\">call <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">upon Him in whom they have not believed? And&#8230;<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"bigText-red\">How <\/span><strong>shall they<\/strong> <span class=\"bigText-red\">believe <\/span>in <span class=\"boldText-red\">Him whom they have not heard? And&#8230;<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"bigText-red\">How <\/span><strong>shall they<\/strong> <span class=\"bigText-red\">hear <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">without a preacher? And&#8230; <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"bigText-red\">How <\/span><strong>shall they<\/strong> <span class=\"bigText-red\">preach <\/span><span class=\"boldText-red\">unless they are sent?
