It’s difficult to really capture<\/span><\/em> one’s emotions and splatter<\/span><\/em> them onto paper (or a computer keyboard). \u00a0Our family is just 14 days<\/span><\/em> away from departing for Tanzania<\/span><\/em>. \u00a0There is a range of emotions that we are feeling, but every day the Lord blesses us with peace<\/span><\/em>. \u00a0It is a wonderful feeling…knowing that He<\/strong> is taking care of everything.<\/p>\n

For example, we just found out that our visas<\/em><\/strong> will most likely not be approved<\/em><\/strong> before our arrival. \u00a0After stressing for a few minutes (like 120<\/em>…), and after some pretty scattered prayers, Amy and I talked about all of our options and came to a decision that we know the Lord<\/strong> led us to because of the peace<\/span><\/em> He gave to us. \u00a0We have decided that our best option is to apply for temporary visas upon arrival at the airport in Tanzania. \u00a0Like I said, the Lord <\/strong>gave us peace<\/em><\/span> with this decision and we know everything is going to work out for the best.<\/p>\n

We’re still just as excited and we understand that sometimes stuff like this is going to happen. \u00a0These are just opportunities for the Lord <\/strong>to show Himself mighty<\/span> and sovereign<\/span>. \u00a0We get the privilege of seeing Him <\/strong>work and giving Him <\/strong>the glory<\/strong> <\/span>for it all.<\/p>\n

On another note, we have finished purchasing all the bags we are taking with us. \u00a0We have 5 suitcases, 5 rolling duffel bags, and our carry-on bags. \u00a0Our duffel bags were only $30<\/span> each! \u00a0Now our big focus is on filtering through the items we are going to put into all those bags.<\/p>\n

And….we’re having a huge yard sale on Feb 26th! \u00a0Please come out and buy some of our stuff! \u00a0Amidst all the activity, we have peace.<\/p>\n

Some of the prayer requests <\/span><\/strong><\/em>we are focusing on at the moment: we are still praying for visa <\/span><\/em>approval. \u00a0God still does amazing things, so we’re praying for something amazing. \u00a0 We are praying for clarity and wisdom when it comes to stuff <\/span>to take with us, to sell before we leave, or to store while we are overseas. \u00a0We are praying for faithfulness in seeking God through His word<\/span>. \u00a0We’re praying for a better understanding of how to lean on Him, knowing that as we arrive in Tanzania we are really going to need to know how to lean on Him<\/strong><\/em>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
