{"id":224,"date":"2011-03-31T15:05:11","date_gmt":"2011-03-31T19:05:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rob-ellis\/?p=224"},"modified":"2011-03-31T15:06:40","modified_gmt":"2011-03-31T19:06:40","slug":"housing-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rob-ellis\/2011\/03\/31\/housing-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Housing Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Habari za jioni marafiki wangu wote! \u00a0Good evening all my friends! \u00a0This is a brief update on a couple of hot topics.<\/p>\n<p>Our language training is going very well! \u00a0We feel like we are absorbing so much. \u00a0It feels almost miraculous. \u00a0God has made us with minds and tongues that are absorbing Swahili apparently, so we are loving it. \u00a0We want to ensure that the learning process continues when we return to the city, so <strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: #800080\">please pray<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"> for<\/span> structure, opportunity, and courage to <strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: #800080\">continue progressing<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest thing on our mind right now is housing. \u00a0We really, really want to settle on a place by mid-April. \u00a0We recently learned of one unfortunate development: the &#8220;realtors&#8221; (term used very loosely) <strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: #008000\">want to charge us a full months&#8217; rent as a finders fee<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0Also, the way they do rent here is you pay for 6 months up front. \u00a0We have to agree to pay the finders fee in order to see any houses. \u00a0Please pray that something adequate and workable opens up for us; a house that is going to be a blessing to us and a place where we can bless others. \u00a0<strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: #008000\">Please pray with us for this house<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0The Lord knows our needs and our hearts. \u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #008000\">Also pray for the Lord to provide the extra funds in order to pay these fees and other things that I&#8217;m sure are going to come up. <\/span><\/strong> We are close to 100% support, but are not there yet so this news is another opportunity where we are learning to place our trust in God and watch Him work. \u00a0If the Lord puts in on your heart to give, click <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rob-ellis\/give\/\">here<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to all of you for your part on this team to reach Tanzania. \u00a0It is quite an honor to co-labor with you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Habari za jioni marafiki wangu wote! \u00a0Good evening all my friends! \u00a0This is a brief update on a couple of hot topics.
