Our ministry began as\u00a0active members of the local church.\u00a0 Robert surrendered his life to Christ in 1990 through the ministry of\u00a0 First Baptist Church <\/span>of San Clemente, CA, now Pacific Coast Church<\/strong><\/a> <\/span>.\u00a0 It was through this church that I first surrendered my life to Christ.\u00a0 It was also there that I was first challenged to serve in missions, specifically when participating in a discipleship program where one lesson asked the question, “What’s Your Role in the Local Church?”\u00a0 We are blessed to have the support of PCC as our sending church and for others that have come alongside us since then.<\/p>\n

Cirena moved to California in 1992 where the two of us met and were married on Easter Sunday, 1995 at Pacific Coast Church.\u00a0 She came to know the Lord as her Savior in 1981 while attending the First Baptist Church<\/strong> of Juneau, AK.\u00a0 Not long later, she and her first husband moved to the Philippines where\u00a0they planted Hilltop Baptist Church<\/span><\/span>\u00a0on her home island of\u00a0Cebu. Widowed in 1989, Cirena remained an active part of this vital church plant that served the community for 20 years before merging with another local church in the area.<\/p>\n

Training & Preparation?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Library<\/a> In addition to strong biblical foundations taught\u00a0through PCC, Robert also graduated from Biola University<\/strong><\/a><\/span> with a\u00a0Bachelor of Science in<\/strong> Organizational Leadership<\/strong>\u00a0(BOLD program) in 2001.\u00a0 In keeping with BIOLA’s Mission Statement, “My one desire was to be\u00a0equipped in mind and character\u00a0for the purpose of\u00a0impacting the world for Jesus Christ.” <\/em><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"MTC\"Our service with\u00a0NTM began\u00a0in 2002 as Missionary Associates to the PHILIPPINES on the island of Palawan.\u00a0 Our return to the states was for the purpose of attending NTM’s Missionary Training Center<\/strong><\/a> in Missouri.\u00a0\u00a0In 2008 following intensive missions training, we\u00a0graduated with\u00a0a Bachelor in<\/strong>\u00a0Intercultural Ministries<\/strong>. During that time we were grateful to find fellowship\u00a0and partnership with Linn Creek Baptist Church<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Where Else Have We Been?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Following our return from the Philippines\u00a0in 2005 we relocated temporarily to Albuquerque, NM. There we connected with Hoffmantown Church<\/strong><\/a> where we’ve made many lifelong friends<\/span>.\u00a0 We are truly blessed with the partnership this church has since provided.<\/p>\n

In 2006 we relocated to Robert’s childhood home of Six Nations, Ontario, Canada for a period of time. There we\u00a0served in ministry and fellowship with Ohsweken Baptist Church<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 This small local church has proven to be great partners in the ministry God has called us to.<\/p>\n

\"DSCN8071\"<\/a>During our 2015 home-assignment in Albuquerque, NM, in addition to reconnecting with friends at Hoffmantown, we are grateful to have found partnership also with\u00a0Cross Christian Fellowship, Rt. 66<\/strong> <\/a>.<\/p>\n

“For this reason, …we have not stopped praying for you\u00a0and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom\u00a0and understanding.<\/em><\/strong>” (Col 1:9 NIV)<\/p>\n
