No, not myself this time.\u00a0 But as someone who has already spent time in the language learning process and as the People Services Coordinator for NTM Philippines, it’s my privilege to have a part in helping our newest missionaries on the field to get started with their time of national culture and language acquisition (NCLA).\u00a0 As you can tell from the picture, it takes a team of people to help encourage and guide new missionaries through this process.\u00a0 This picture tells only a small part of the story as to what it takes to help new missionaries become successful in the ministry God calls them to.\u00a0 Each of you as you pray, give, and courage, whether you realize it or not, has some small part in that.\u00a0 Your partnership in whatever form or capacity is much appreciated.<\/p>\n

It’s been well over a year now since I first began communicating with Nils and his wife Ingeborg while they were still in their home country developing relationships that would pray for them while on the field. The Oma’s were actually the first couple I began to communicate with as the people services coordinator and the first that I’ve welcomed to the field earlier this year as career missionaries.\u00a0 During this time there have been many challenges along the way and getting started with language has taken a bit longer than expected but with much prayer and encouragement from our field leadership and many others, this couple has persevered and is pressing on for the sake of the gospel.\u00a0 Please keep the Oma’s in prayer as they serve the Lord with us in the Philippines.<\/p>\n
