Having grown up in Canada on the Six Nations Reservation, I sometimes wonder at what point, and who the bearers of Good News were that first brought the gospel of grace to our people.\u00a0 Yes, there’s still work to be done, but one thing for certain, our people are no longer unreached, and for that I praise the Lord.<\/p>\n

This past Christmas we had the privilege of returning home to spend time with family as well as one of our supporting churches, Ohsweken Baptist Church, which has served our community for well over 100 years.\u00a0 While it wasn’t through this ministry that I surrendered my life to Christ in 1990, Ohsweken Baptist is one of the first churches that committed to partnering with us in working to see other unreached people groups connected to the gospel of grace, and for that we are tremendously grateful.<\/p>\n

In 2013, I had the privilege of visiting co-workers serving in one of the Manobo villages where NTM serves (see Blog Update, A Couple of Awesome First<\/a>).\u00a0 Teaching has recently taken place in this village and our co-workers Grant & Marianne Bayfield gave the following praise, “<\/i><\/b>We have a good problem \u2013 it seems our whole village has responded positively to the Gospel!\u00a0 So we have our ears open for anything someone says that might indicate that he\/she didn\u2019t quite get it, and could use some specific teaching.<\/i><\/b>“<\/b><\/i>\u00a0 Please continue praying for the Bayfields, for their co-workers the Capilli’s, and for the Manobo that have heard this incredible message of grace for the first time.\u00a0 Please pray that what they have heard will take root in an incredible way and praise be to Him, the Lord of the harvest, that these people now too are no longer unreached<\/u>.<\/p>\n

We praise the Lord for the privilege of serving the Master, and for each one that partners with us in allowing that to happen.\u00a0 I pray that each one of you praise the Lord for the part you have in that also.<\/p>\n
