{"id":1259,"date":"2016-02-06T07:50:24","date_gmt":"2016-02-05T23:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/?p=1259"},"modified":"2016-02-06T07:50:24","modified_gmt":"2016-02-05T23:50:24","slug":"no-longer-unreached","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/2016\/02\/06\/no-longer-unreached\/","title":{"rendered":"No Longer Unreached"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_1260\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1260\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2016\/02\/2015-12-27-12.16.54.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1260\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2016\/02\/2015-12-27-12.16.54-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Ohsweken Baptist Church, Ontario, Canada\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2016\/02\/2015-12-27-12.16.54-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2016\/02\/2015-12-27-12.16.54-600x338.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1260\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ohsweken Baptist Church, Ontario, Canada<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Having grown up in Canada on the Six Nations Reservation, I sometimes wonder at what point, and who the bearers of Good News were that first brought the gospel of grace to our people.\u00a0 Yes, there&#8217;s still work to be done, but one thing for certain, our people are no longer unreached, and for that I praise the Lord.<\/p>\n<p>This past Christmas we had the privilege of returning home to spend time with family as well as one of our supporting churches, Ohsweken Baptist Church, which has served our community for well over 100 years.\u00a0 While it wasn&#8217;t through this ministry that I surrendered my life to Christ in 1990, Ohsweken Baptist is one of the first churches that committed to partnering with us in working to see other unreached people groups connected to the gospel of grace, and for that we are tremendously grateful.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1262\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1262\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2016\/02\/055.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-1262\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2016\/02\/055-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Manobo brothers and sister in Christ\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1262\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Manobo brothers and sister in Christ<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In 2013, I had the privilege of visiting co-workers serving in one of the Manobo villages where NTM serves (see Blog Update, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/2013\/09\/20\/a-couple-of-first-part-1\/\" target=\"_blank\">A Couple of Awesome First<\/a>).\u00a0 Teaching has recently taken place in this village and our co-workers Grant &amp;
