Just a few of our friends we’ll miss when we return to the Philippines.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

How do you translate, starting a new life?\u00a0 Recently while reading a report from one of the many ministries in the Philippines, I came across the following statement; \u201cParang panibagong buhay kami<\/em><\/strong>\u201d (Seems we\u2019re starting a new life).\u201d\u00a0 That\u2019s what it feels like for us as we prepare to head back to the Philippines in June.<\/p>\n

I know, many of you are thinking, \u201cHaven\u2019t they done this before?\u201d\u00a0 Yes, it\u2019s true this is not our first time heading to the Philippines.\u00a0 In fact, when we head back in June, this will be our third time returning after our service began in 2002.\u00a0 And yet, every time we head back, it seems like we are starting over again.<\/p>\n

Having left our home in the Philippines just over 12 months ago now, we gave up our apartment (which we absolutely loved), sold our car (which we appreciated but loved not so much), sold a few items, stored a few items, and loaned a few items.\u00a0 What does all of that mean for our return?<\/p>\n
