{"id":713,"date":"2011-01-11T09:51:58","date_gmt":"2011-01-11T01:51:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/?p=713"},"modified":"2011-01-11T11:07:48","modified_gmt":"2011-01-11T03:07:48","slug":"new-year-new-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/2011\/01\/11\/new-year-new-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"New Year, New Opportunities!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-714\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2011\/01\/Cebu-White-Sands-195-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Cebu White Sands 195\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800000\">Dear Praying Partners,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another year has come to an end and another year has begun.\u00a0 As we look to the Lord in 2011 we are both excited and curious about what the future holds.\u00a0 A new year with new opportunities.\u00a0 A preliminary look at\u00a0National Culture &amp; Language Acquisition says I should be finished by the end of June.\u00a0 Please keep the following in prayer for 2011:<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Pray that I could finish well and continue to make the necessary progress in language over these next six months.\u00a0 It&#8217;s been exciting to learn as much as I have already and\u00a0to have opportunities to get out\u00a0and use it.\u00a0 It still feels though like I have a long way to go.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We have plans to visit three N. Luzon tribal works in need of partners in early March.\u00a0 Please pray that our Helicopter Flight Program will be up and running by then so as to limit travel time and increase time in the villages with the people. \u00a0We will need approx. 2hrs of flight service.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Please pray for a continued increase of our support in 2011.\u00a0 We are grateful for all that already give faithfully and for the new financial partners we have added just recently.\u00a0 Our current support level is near 53% with other expenses supplemented from savings &amp; other benefits.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Please keep in mind Sheila Marie\u2019s homeschooling.\u00a0 She has done well in all subject areas except for Math and so we have recently made the decision to hire a private tutor for her.\u00a0 Praise God for a wonderful yourng Christian gal from church willing to work with her.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Pray for our time at Manda.
