{"id":748,"date":"2011-04-02T11:01:44","date_gmt":"2011-04-02T03:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/?p=748"},"modified":"2011-04-02T11:01:44","modified_gmt":"2011-04-02T03:01:44","slug":"ten-more-sacks-of-rice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/2011\/04\/02\/ten-more-sacks-of-rice\/","title":{"rendered":"Ten More Sacks of Rice"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_751\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-751\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-751\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2011\/04\/Rice-4-Lunch1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"I've got a lot of rice to eat still.\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-751\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">I&#39;ve got a lot of rice to eat still.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>During a recent language helping session when I told my language helper <strong><em>&#8220;I&#8217;ve got a lot of rice to eat still.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> (see previous blog entry), he responded jokingly (or not),\u00a0<strong><em>&#8220;Oo nga e&#8217;, siguro sampung sako.&#8221;\u00a0&#8211; Yes, that&#8217;s right, maybe ten sacks.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our highlight for the month of March was a second language review which confirmed what we already thought, that I (Robert) am progressing nicely with Tagalog towards a capable level.\u00a0 It\u2019s been one year since my first review and afterwards the language evaluator responded, <strong><em>\u201cUy!\u00a0 Ano ang nangyari sa dating Robert?&#8221;\u00a0&#8211; Wow!
