{"id":915,"date":"2012-05-15T15:27:28","date_gmt":"2012-05-15T07:27:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/?p=915"},"modified":"2012-05-15T15:27:28","modified_gmt":"2012-05-15T07:27:28","slug":"an-unexpected-mothers-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/2012\/05\/15\/an-unexpected-mothers-day\/","title":{"rendered":"An Unexpected Mother&#8217;s Day!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We praise God for His provision for the Agta VBS team.\u00a0 One portion of the team went in by boat (three hours by land and then nine hours on the open ocean) while the rest of the team were able to fly in (a much shorter trip by air).\u00a0 The original plan was for our family to join the team but God however had other plans.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_917\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-917\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2012\/05\/051320121779.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-917\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2012\/05\/051320121779-300x179.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"179\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2012\/05\/051320121779-300x179.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2012\/05\/051320121779.jpg 754w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-917\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Shay with a visit from some of her MK friends.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This past Mother\u2019s Day we found ourselves unexpectedly in the hospital.\u00a0 Sheila had been complaining since the Thursday previous of stomach problems and so on Friday she was taken to\u00a0a local pediatrician.\u00a0 After initial examination and lab work she was treated for UTI.\u00a0 The pediatrician did say however if problems persisted we should take her to the hospital.\u00a0 The next morning she showed no signs of improvement\u00a0while in fact she seemed to be getting worse and so off to the local hospital we went.\u00a0 Within\u00a0the hour she was diagnosed with appendicitis and she was operated on later that same day.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"mceTemp\">\n<div class=\"mceTemp\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"mceTemp\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_923\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-923\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2012\/05\/051520121780.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-923\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/robert-smith\/files\/2012\/05\/051520121780-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-923\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mother&#039;s Day Card Sheila made for Cirena.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We praise God despite the unexpected Mother\u2019s Day. \u00a0Had we waited one more day (Mother\u2019s Day) the appendix likely would have ruptured.
