March is a month of straddling two school years. I need to stay fully engaged and excited about this school year. Since I teach grade 11 and 12 students, they need my extra enthusiasm in the last few months. I’m looking at lesson planning for the last term knowing that I need to make the digestive and urinary systems fun and interesting for A&P students. As an administrator, I need to stay engaged with teachers as they seek to finish the school year well.
But, also as an administrator, I have to be planning for next school year. We need to have a plan based on known staffing and students by the end of this month. If we have to close grades or turn to correspondence courses, we need to let families know so they can make alternate plans. We do not yet have enough staff for next school year. I am looking at the logistics of what we can offer while praying that we get more staff.
NCA is an amazing place to teach, a place where you get to use your skills and passion as a teacher to support tribal church planting. I could say this also about the clinic, IT, business office, and aviation programs. Support service is a way that God allows those of us with such skills to be a part of the Gospel mission. The video below highlights these opportunities.
