Having a guest from the Faroe Islands, hosting a Mini Conference here on the flight center and a week of meetings in Manila have helped see July fly by quickly.
Our niece, Elin, who was on her way home from Australia, was able to stop here for a two week visit with us. We enjoyed our time with her immensely. She has heard our stories from this part of the world many times, so now she could see it first hand. We were able to show her a couple of tribal areas, as well as where we are working now.
The following week the flight center here was buzzing with lots of people. It was time for our midyear mini conference. All of us missionaries on this island get together each July for a time of nourishment in the Word as well as fellowship with each other. The previous weeks we had been busy planning it, but each moment spent on it was worth it, as the weekend went by so smoothly. It is always so encouraging for us to hear how each family is doing in their tribal station.
The following day found Rocky on his way to Manila again to attend more meetings. This time he was gone for one week. Now he is back in his office here, along with other things, getting caught up with correspondence with our new missionaries enroute. One family arrives in August and 3 in September.
