We are enjoying our ministry here in England. Ragnar’s desk continues to pile up with work – at some point he will have to learn to say ‘no’, but so far has been enjoying getting involved in many different things.
Since we don’t work directly with the students in the Bible School and Missions Training Course, we try our best to think of ways to get to know them – they are our future missionaries. They have a daily coffee break in the mornings which we try to walk over to – our office building is only a two minute walk from their building; we have signed up to eat one meal a week in the dining room with them and I have been attending a Ladies Bible Study which is held every second week. However since we came late into the semester and there are 50 some students, it is still taking awhile. So we have decided to try and have students over for a meal each Tuesday lunch and Friday dinner. That has been going well – so far we have had people from Germany, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland, USA, Faroe Islands, Egypt and the Netherlands. Lots of interesting conversations!!
We enjoyed two birthday trips to Birmingham this past month. Craig’s was on the 15th, Ellie’s (3rd) on the 26th and Rebekah’s (1st) on the 27th. We feel very blessed to have family so close – something I don’t think we will ever take for granted – only a 3 hour drive!!
