{"id":42,"date":"2006-01-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2006-01-01T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2007-10-08T20:02:24","modified_gmt":"2007-10-09T00:02:24","slug":"seminar-on-animisn-syncretism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rocky-niclasen\/2006\/01\/01\/seminar-on-animisn-syncretism\/","title":{"rendered":"Seminar on Animisn &#038; Syncretism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--StartImportPhoto--><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rocky-niclasen\/files\/2006\/01\/1274_24761.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-104\" style=\"margin-right: 10px;margin-bottom: 5px\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rocky-niclasen\/files\/2006\/01\/1274_24761.jpg\" alt=\"Conference Center\" width=\"300\" \/><\/a><!--EndImportPhoto--><\/p>\n<p>Our month started off with our Annual conference &#8211; always a special time for us, having lots of opportunities to listen to godly men share from the Word and catch up with our fellow missionaries in a very relaxing atmosphere &#8211; a coconut plantation.&nbsp; It is like being at camp again &#8211; boys in one cabin and girls in the other.&nbsp; One side benefit of that is that it helps us get to know missionaries from the other islands that we don&#8217;t see throughout the year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Following Conference we stayed there for a couple extra days for a Seminar on Animism &amp; Syncretism.&nbsp;&nbsp; Peter &amp; Kathy Baker, our former Field Chairman and good friends, came over from Canada to teach this seminar.&nbsp; After the Conference we were able to go away with them for a couple of special days together.<\/p>\n<p>That was followed by Rocky spending a couple of weeks with two future missionaries, George Olsen and Nathan Ingvoldstad.&nbsp; They came over to visit the different regions and get an idea of where they could fit into the work here.&nbsp; Rocky was able to take them into our former tribal station.&nbsp; It is always a blessing for him to be back in that area, and have time with the believers.&nbsp; We are excited that George and Nathan and their families will be joining us here later this year.&nbsp;<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is like being at camp again &#8211; boys in one cabin and girls in the other.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_genesis_hide_title":false,"_genesis_hide_breadcrumbs":false,"_genesis_hide_singular_image":false,"_genesis_hide_footer_widgets":false,"_genesis_custom_body_class":"","_genesis_custom_post_class":"","_genesis_layout":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-42","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","entry"],"aioseo_notices":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rocky-niclasen\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/42","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rocky-niclasen\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rocky-niclasen\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rocky-niclasen\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=42"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rocky-niclasen\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/42\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rocky-niclasen\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=42"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rocky-niclasen\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=42"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/rocky-niclasen\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=42"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
