So, where has the time gone?!

7 November 09 by Roland and Jinni Shafer Jr.

I am shocked to remember that 2009 is about finished. It seems like it just really got started. So many events have come and gone this year, and right now a whirlwind of thoughts come flooding to my mind.

Here are a few of the for instances:

Moriah attending Christian school, by the Lord using many of you to provide finances we don’t have.
RJ graduating from Berean Christian School and now attending NTBI, at 17 no less.
Elijah receiving several recognitions at Cedar Bluff Middle school – and receiving the Timothy Award from Truth in Training!
Elijah, Moriah, and Susan running with the Homeschoolers Cross Country team and all qualifying for State!

Most exciting of all is how the Lord has made a way for us to be part of the NTM team. Your prayers, encouragement and financial support have proven to be a most powerful ministry of the Lord in our live this year! We are so grateful for your partnership with us as we walk with the Spirit of the Lord toward the field. We thank the Lord for leading us to a fellowship of believers who bear the ‘mantle’ of senders, and are trusting the Lord with us for His provision to get and keep us on the field. Many of you have received our prayer calendar. We trust it will be a reminder to us all of our need to pray with one another as we walk in the light of God’s desire to reach the world with the gospel.

It is thrilling to be a part of what reaching those who have yet to hear the Word of God in their heart-language. The NTM team continues to see the Lord provide more workers to reach the fields that are white unto harvest! Praise and glory to Him for His faithfulness to those who still need a messenger.

Maybe through the coming whirlwind of the next year, the still, small, voice of the Lord will reach someone we know and they be become a new messenger of the gospel!

to the praise of His glory,
Roland and Jinni Shafer family

our Source of confidence – 2 Corinthians 3;4-6

(4)  We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ.

(5)  It is not that we think we can do anything of lasting value by ourselves. Our only power and success come from God.

(6)  He is the one who has enabled us to represent His new covenant. This is a covenant, not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old way ends in death; in the new way, the Holy Spirit gives life.

2 Corinthians 3:4-6
