We have had some serious snow days since returning home. Snow over a lot of the state have impacted roads quite a bit.
Although this picture was taken on our last excursion, it looks VERY MUCH like the back and front yards where we are living now. It is quite beautiful as it freshly falls.
Each fresh snowfall reminds me of purity and cleanliness. It brings to mind the wonder of God’s power and care for His creation. One day all will be made right. That day all of the Destroyer’s power will be forever put away and even creation will be as it should always have been, free of corruption and death. It will be redeemed!
I am thankful with each snow, I have already experienced a great part of that redemption already. I pray you have experienced the redemption available through Jesus Christ, too.
There won’t be much accessible snow in Indonesia. This will be one of the things I will miss, serving so close to the Equator. The rain will never get cold enough to bring snowflakes to stick on the ground. The Bible says “all of Creation groans for the day of redemption”. Maybe I will feel the same about snow and I guess it will look that much more beautiful when I see it again.
in Christ’s service with you,
Roland
