{"id":1481,"date":"2022-03-25T08:47:37","date_gmt":"2022-03-25T13:47:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/roland-shaferjr\/?p=1481"},"modified":"2022-03-25T08:47:38","modified_gmt":"2022-03-25T13:47:38","slug":"ethnos-canada-indigineous-ministries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/roland-shaferjr\/2022\/03\/25\/ethnos-canada-indigineous-ministries\/","title":{"rendered":"Ethnos Canada &#8211; Indigineous Ministries"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Special Event scheduled ::  Please PRAY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our team has done a lot of preparation, inviting, and organizing for our\u00a0<strong>Northern Gathering this Saturday from 1 \u2013 5 PM<\/strong>\u00a0at Nipawin Bible College, Nipawin, SK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our initial thoughts of a very little interest are being stretched as we\u2019re getting word that both white and aboriginal believers are planning on coming from Cumberland House, Red Earth, Shoal Lake, Deschambault Lake, Gordons Reserve, La Loche, Green Lake, Melfort, Nipawin, Red Deer, North Battleford, Saskatoon, Swan River, Brandon, and Ottawa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please pray for the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>God to prepare hearts \u2013 replacing skepticism and mistrust with excitement and unity around the gospel as the only hope for our northern peoples.<\/li><li>God to give wisdom to Norm as he MC\u2019s the event \u2013 giving wisdom, discernment, and protection from special interest groups who might want to hijack the event.<\/li><li>God to empower our northern disciples as they share the first Establish lesson and their testimonies.<\/li><li>God to enable us to connect well with this very diverse group of believers to build the beginnings of a relationship that will grow in the years to come.<\/li><li>God to raise up 10 church leaders who would want to be discipled through Establish beginning in September \u2013 at least two church leaders from each community (This is the beginning of our strategy version 2.0.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The challenge is that we might get swamped by too much interest &#8211; I can only disciple one group with everything else on my plate. (There are already requests to present this same opportunity in Meadow Lake and Swan River.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These leaders would be discipled through a foundational&nbsp;<strong>LIFE-in-Community<\/strong>&nbsp;(gather once a month in a central location outside of their community and a zoom call),&nbsp;<strong>LIFE-on-Life<\/strong>&nbsp;(one-on-one discussion once a month with each of the primary leaders so they can repeat it with their secondary leader), and&nbsp;<strong>LIFE-on-Mission<\/strong>&nbsp;(reading and preparation to teach within the group and challenges to begin discipling at least one other person within their community).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God is at work \u2013 please, please pray!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blessings,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dave<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Special Event scheduled :: Please PRAY Our team has done a lot of preparation, inviting, and organizing for our\u00a0Northern Gathering this Saturday from 1 \u2013 5 PM\u00a0at Nipawin Bible College, Nipawin, SK.
