{"id":197,"date":"2011-06-03T21:31:18","date_gmt":"2011-06-04T02:31:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/roland-shaferjr\/?p=197"},"modified":"2011-06-03T21:31:18","modified_gmt":"2011-06-04T02:31:18","slug":"were-in-michigan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/roland-shaferjr\/2011\/06\/03\/were-in-michigan\/","title":{"rendered":"We&#8217;re In Michigan!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OK&#8230;third time is the charm, so they say. \u00a0You cannot use Word Press with Internet Explorer 9! \u00a0Great! \u00a0Now you tell me! \ud83d\ude00 \u00a0But it\u00a0seems Google Chrome is working! \u00a0Yahoo!<\/p>\n<p>We left Knoxville at 8:40 am and google map said the trip would take us 8 hrs. and 34 minutes. \u00a0Our &#8220;bottom-of-the-line&#8221; GPS said we would arrive in Jonesville, MI at 4:34 pm. \u00a0Well, even thought the weather was marvelous, and traffic and construction were minimal, it still took us longer. \u00a0Surprise, surprise! \u00a03 pit stops and a faulty GPS reading (human error) brought us to our destination at 6:16pm. \u00a0Our wonderful hosts, The Shollys, greeted us warmly, visited briefly, then took off for Indiana. \u00a0They had a funeral to attend on Thursday. \u00a0They left us delectable strawberries and some wonderful fixins for dinner. \u00a0We watched 2 movies simultaneously, as we do not like commercials&#8230;back &amp; forth, back &amp; forth! \u00a0We unloaded the trailer the next morning; cleaned up the house, bought a new chain and took off. \u00a0We wore off the old one on the way up.<\/p>\n<p>We arrived in Grand Haven at 2pm and had a marvelous fellowship time until Trevor&#8217;s Baccalaureate Service. \u00a0Amazingly, the public high school allowed it to be held on campus! \u00a0Praise the Lord! \u00a0It was very nice, good testimony from a coach, then girls decided they were all hungry. \u00a0 Fellows gallantly \u00a0decided to stay and reserve seats for us, as we rushed home to &#8220;nuke&#8221; burritos and make a few for the Dads! \u00a0We grabbed a few blankets and cushions, as the graduation\u00a0ceremony\u00a0was held in the football stadium. \u00a0400 students! \u00a0We had the best seats of course! \u00a0Top row, the sun warming us until the last 10 minutes AND we had backs to our benches! \u00a0We could stand up and take photos without blocking anyone either! \u00a0The class president shared a &#8220;famous quotation&#8221; &#8211; &#8220;Love is patient&#8230;love is kind&#8230;.&#8221; \u00a0yes from 1st\u00a0Corinthians. \u00a0He was probably not allowed to say where the quotation was from, but we knew! \u00a0The orchestra played a medley from &#8220;Phantom of the Opera&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Today we woke up and helped get ready for big PARTY tomorrow. \u00a0Everyone helped: cut lawn, cut veggies, peel potatoes &amp; carrots, decorate tables, make sign, dips, cole slaw dressing and more. \u00a0200 people may come. \u00a0We have to leave early in the morning to go to St. Louis, then Lake of the Ozarks. \u00a0Roland is preaching Sunday morning in Preston, Mo. \u00a0We certainly have enjoyed our time with the Millers. \u00a0Both sets of in-laws are here and we&#8217;ve had lots of laughs!<\/p>\n<p>We reminisced about Monty Python&#8217;s &#8220;Spam&#8221;&#8230;.but the best was seeing Nick Saint&#8217;s flying car&#8230;.check it out!<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/www.eaavideo.org\/video.aspx?v=635469588001<\/p>\n<p>The impact this could have on world evangalism&#8230;beside being alot of fun!<\/p>\n<p>~Jinni~ for the family&#8230;.RJ was having a great time at Myrtle Beach! \u00a0We missed him!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OK&#8230;third time is the charm, so they say. \u00a0You cannot use Word Press with Internet Explorer 9! \u00a0Great! \u00a0Now you tell me! \ud83d\ude00 \u00a0But it\u00a0seems Google Chrome is working! \u00a0Yahoo!
