Here is the account of it from the NET Bible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><span style=\"font-family: Meiryo, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small\"><span style=\"font-style: normal\">Then<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><sup><span style=\"font-family: Meiryo, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small\"><span style=\"font-style: normal\"> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/sup><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><span style=\"font-family: Meiryo, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small\"><span style=\"font-style: normal\">he sat down opposite the offering box, and watched the crowd putting coins into it. Many<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small\"><span style=\"font-style: normal\"> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><span style=\"font-family: Meiryo, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small\"><span style=\"font-style: normal\">rich people were throwing in large amounts. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><span style=\"font-family: Meiryo, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small\">And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, worth less than a penny. He called his disciples and said to them, &#8220;I tell you the truth,<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><sup><span style=\"font-family: Meiryo, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small\"> <\/span><\/span><\/sup><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><span style=\"font-family: Meiryo, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small\">this poor widow has put more into the offering box than all the others. For they all gave out of their wealth. But she, out of her poverty, put in what she had to live on, everything she had.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Meiryo, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small\">We have used this reference in some of our communications with people and wanted to explore this further. Why did she give \u201ceverything she had.\u201d What was her confidence in? Was it just, \u201cWell, I really don&#8217;t have anything to offer, so I might as well just give it all.\u201d or was there more to it? Maybe the question should be, \u201cWho was her confidence in?\u201d When our sufficiency is Christ alone, possessions become a privileged stewardship. Maybe the poor widow was so assured of the promises of God and his sufficiency, that she had nothing to worry about, she had Him. Who could ask for more?!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24px;font-weight: bold;color: #000000;font-family: Helvetica;line-height: 26px\">Where is Your Sufficiency<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: normal;font-weight: normal;line-height: 0.2in\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><span style=\"font-family: Candara, sans-serif\"><strong>2Co 9:8<\/strong><\/span><\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Candara, sans-serif\">And- And God <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: none\"><span style=\"font-family: Candara, sans-serif\">is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all <\/span><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: none\"><span style=\"font-family: Candara, sans-serif\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">sufficiency<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: none\"><span style=\"font-family: Candara, sans-serif\"> in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;font-style: normal;font-weight: normal;line-height: 0.2in\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Candara, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><span style=\"text-decoration: none\"><strong>2Co 3:5-6<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: none\"> Not that we are <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: none\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">sufficient<\/span><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: none\"> of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, <\/span>who also made us\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">sufficient<\/span> as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Meiryo, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px;font-weight: bold;color: #000000;font-family: Helvetica;line-height: 26px\">Sufficient in every way<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: normal;font-weight: normal;line-height: 0.2in\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Candara, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"text-decoration: none\">We are getting nearer, every day, to our departure date. The Lord has continued to bring our support ever higher and closer to our goal&#8230;.yet we are not really concerned about it, because our sufficiency comes from Our Lord Jesus Christ, not from money or pledged support. \u00a0So we await we confidence in the Lord, to step forward in faith, knowing He will take care of us!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 0.2in\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Andalus\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><strong><span style=\"background: #ffffff\"><span style=\"text-decoration: none\">Sowing &amp; Reaping<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;border: none;padding: 0in;font-style: normal;font-weight: normal;line-height: 0.17in\" align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #666666\"><span style=\"font-family: Andalus\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"background: #ffffff\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">It reminds us of the Macedonians and Paul. Maybe she knew this: 2 Cor. 9:6-12  \u201cThe person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously.<\/span><span style=\"color: #008080\"> <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">Each one of you should give just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, because God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace overflow to you so that so that because you have enough<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">of everything in every way at all times, you will overflow in every good work. Just as it is written, &#8220;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><em>He<\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"> <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><em>has scattered widely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness remains forever<\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">.&#8221;  Now God who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your supply of seed and will cause the harvest of your righteousness to grow. You will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous on every occasion, which is producing through us thanksgiving to God,<\/span><span style=\"color: #008080\"> <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">because the service of this ministry is not only providing for the needs of the saints but is also overflowing with many thanks to God.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.1in;margin-bottom: 0in;border: none;padding: 0in;font-style: normal;font-weight: normal;line-height: 0.17in\" align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #666666\"><span style=\"font-family: Andalus\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small\"><span style=\"background: #ffffff\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><strong>Canada Bound!<\/strong><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">We are getting closer to Canada, and we are trusting God to provide for all our needs! Our support has gone from 43% to 57% in a few short weeks.  We trust Him to get it to the recommended 75% soon, so we can depart for Canada before the school year starts.
