The Harvest Is Plentiful, the Laborers Few<\/strong><\/p>\n

And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.Then he said to his disciples, \u201cThe harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.\u201d\u00a0 taken from the Matthew 9:35-37 Holy Scriptures ~ English Standard Version<\/em><\/p>\n

As we begin our 2nd year on staff, with NTM in Canada, rejoice in what God has been doing all over the world through New Tribes and their supporters.<\/p>\n

New Testament Dedication<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Currently there are 457 students in training, from 27 different countries.\u00a0 In Canada alone, 8 countries are represented!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 104 translations of the New testament are in progress.\u00a0 6 were completed last year.\u00a0 12 of these should be finished by 2017.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Last year 4 new works began, and 3 tribes heard the Gospel for the first time.\u00a0\u00a0 NTM missionaries are serving in 258 tribes. \u00a0 1121 churches have been planted; 674 of them have elders, 467 are without elders.\u00a0 There are an estimated 76,169 believers. \u00a0\u00a0 A total of 59 New Testaments have been translated.<\/p>\n

Pray for more laborers!\u00a0 The HARVEST is great, but the workers are FEW!\u00a0 In Canada, of all the missionaries trained:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 32% are actively serving,\u00a0 26% have been placed in ministry, 33% are serving with other missions’ organizations and 3% have other ministries.\u00a0 And the other 6%?<\/p>\n

Just last night we heard, through a testimony given by a missionary from the Philippines, there is a tribe at the “end of the earth”<\/span> (as they call themselves) that is still waiting for someone<\/span><\/strong> to come and explain “God’s talk”<\/strong><\/span> in their mother tongue.<\/p>\n

Some of you heard about the BIEM people group from PNG, during our brief visit home.\u00a0 They are in the midst of hearing from the Lord through Chronological Bible teaching<\/span>. One tribal man stated he would not be deciding anything about what he is hearing unless he has heard it all the way to the end and he will keep coming to the lessons until then! God is speaking to the BIEM through HIS laborers<\/em><\/span><\/strong>. More is happening every day now. In the days ahead there will be growing opposition from the adversary. Remember these teammates in your prayers, too.<\/p>\n

We trust the Lord has proven Himself to you in many ways, encouraging you as you respond to His directing your steps. He is using you in His kingdom work and it brings Him glory as we proclaim His testimony<\/strong><\/span> right where has us. We are praying for more laborers. Is HE calling to your heart to GO! ?<\/p>\n
