It’s been a busy few months on many levels! Your prayers have been and continue to be appreciated! But what have I been doing?<\/p>\n

Preparing for Hurricane Irma’s arrival.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Think extra water.\u00a0(Since when my electricity goes out, so does my water.)<\/p>\n

Think gas\u00a0<\/em>for the small generator my brother had for us to use. (Yes, a benefit of having him living with me this year!)<\/p>\n

Think basic food staples\u00a0\u2014 \u00a0<\/em>plus some comfort food like chips and chocolate!<\/p>\n

Sleeping through Irma’s arrival.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

In the living room. On mattresses on the floor. And loving that this year I had hurricane shutters for the living room and bathroom. (And here’s to hoping I’ll get some for the bedrooms before next year!)<\/p>\n

Of course, while under tornado warning we had to retreat to a smaller space for safety’s sake.<\/p>\n

And finally, the aftermath.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Think about the electricity not being restored until three days later.<\/em>\u00a0Likewise with the water.<\/p>\n

Think about yard clean up<\/em>. Yes, my trees have fewer branches than\u00a0before.<\/p>\n

Time consuming? Yes. Inconvenient? Yes. But was my house damaged? No. So I can’t say it was bad at all!<\/p>\n

Preparing for a week of celebration!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Last week there was a\u00a0hurricane of activities taking place as our team put the final touches on the planning and implementation of all the details surrounding four events taking place this week. These events will\u00a0celebrate\u00a0the 75th anniversary of Ethnos360, as well as\u00a0the dedication of our new office building which we moved into earlier this year.<\/p>\n

And you can join in the celebration!\u00a0\u2014 Join us on Friday, October 13 at 7 p.m. EDT, for the 75th Anniversary Celebration via simulcast at\u00a0Ethnos360.org\/75<\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0Celebrate with us as we remember what God has done and look forward to what He will yet do.<\/p>\n

\nSleeping through the celebrations?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I think not! It’ll be too busy and\u00a0too much fun for that to happen!<\/p>\n

And the aftermath?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I’m sure there will be clean-up needed. But, hopefully, by the end, I’ll still be standing \u2014 just like my house \u2014\u00a0or maybe I’ll be horizontal getting\u00a0some much-needed rest!<\/p>\n
