A little over a year ago Scott had a seizure, his first ever and we<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>praise<\/span> God that he has not had another one in this past year. He takes an anti-seizure medication with the side effect of leaving him exhausted at the end of the day. In November he will meet with his neurologist to decide if he can discontinue taking this medicine. <\/span>Pray<\/span> for wisdom in discontinuing the anti-seizure medication and the possible side effects that may come as he weans off the medicine.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n We are praising the Lord for the new retiree residents that have joined us in the past few months. <\/span>We have about 100 duplexes for retirees and the Latham Center, an Assisted Living Facility. All of our duplexes are full and few are under renovations for the new retirees on a waiting list to move in. The Latham Center has two wings, one is for independent residents and the other is for those needing a little nursing assistance. As of last week, our Independent wing is completely full. There are plans to build a multi-purpose addition (larger chapel and office area) to the Latham Center which will also give us more rooms for independent living residents. We are waiting on the city of Sanford to approve the plans and the needed funding. <\/span>We <\/span>praise <\/span><\/strong>God for the funds that have been received and we ask <\/span>prayer <\/span><\/strong>for the remaining funds to start building.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n We are thankful for the cooler temps lately. We get excited when the temps dip down to 68 in the mornings (yes, I know you northerners are smirking).
