Mail and Packages Info

January 22, 2016 by Sean and Jinny Richards

Updated October 15, 2016

Several people have asked us if we can get mail and the answer is yes! Our address is below and it will be the same address even when we’re in a tribe because the mail will be forwarded to us there. I will keep this list updated with current requests.

Sean Richards

New Tribes Mission

PO Box 1079

Goroka, EHP 441

Papua New Guinea

And yes, we can also receive packages! They take about 3-6 weeks to get there (even though the post office says 7-10 days). The best way to send a smaller package is with one of the USPS flat rate international boxes because it is a flat rate no matter the weight. The flat rate boxes come in small, medium, and large; however, even the “large” isn’t very big. Please write ‘for missionary use only’ on the package. Please double bag everything in gallon zip ziplock bags.

Here are a few things that we always like in packages and can’t ever get too much:

Jinny: pepperoni (please wrap it or hide it in package), dried tortellini, ghiradelli 60% cacao chocolate chips, velveeta, rotel, penzey’s  seasonings (ask us!), torani dark chocolate sauce and caramel sauce for coffee, tortilla chips (even if they get crushed, it’s ok!)  seasonal hand soaps/candles or Christmas ornaments, gourmet hot chocolates, cascadian farm oats and honey granola, dry soup mixes especially tortilla soup, baking mixes of any kind! Sean: beef jerky, sunflower seeds, summer sausage, new release movies on dvd (no blu ray), iTunes gift cards (can also be sent via email), jars of queso from Mexico Viejo or La Huerta in Fayetteville, Razorback paraphernalia.

Boys: children’s books and board books, National geographic kids magazines, fruit and veggie squeeze pouches, Cheez-its, seasonal candy (Easter, halloween, Christmas, etc), preschool aged toys or art kits, seasonal craft kits from hobby lobby, “boy” action figures, family/children’s movies on dvd (no blu ray) and pbs kids shows, amazon gift cards for kindle books.
