Hi friends, thanks so much for praying for us! It’s getting late now on Wednesday night, the packing is done, kids and the wife are all in bed. Please forgive any garbled language or spelling mistakes as I’m pretty tired. Tired but very content; content in the Lord which feels great. Content even though we are fearful, knowing that tomorrows 03:30 departure for PNG will bring unknown risks and challenges, but we trust that our God goes with us and knows best. We look forward to the Lord doing great things, there is an excited expectancy in our walk, but a growing awareness how ordinary we are and so we look to God. Please pray we wouldn’t take our eyes off our Savior, that we would trust Him for every battle and praise Him for any victory.
We have had a truly wondering time here in N. Ireland, and have enjoyed visiting at some of your churches throughout the UK. Simon has just returned this morning from Carrubbers Christian Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland after taking the missions prayer meeting. It was great to go back to a place that always feels like home, to meet old friends and make new ones. Praying with our friends there reminded me of how we truly covet your prayers for us, please don’t grow weary.
Well we fly out of Heathrow tomorrow and will have a 3 day trip before arriving in PNG at our final destination on Sunday. Please pray for the kids, for rest and for our flights / baggage to go without a hitch. The kids, especially Nya already knows something is up, strange how they know. Pray she will settle quickly in PNG again. Nya has a bad head cold, the tonsillitis has cleared but she was given antibiotics today for a bad head cold. Please pray this wont affect her ears etc on the plane. We will update you all when we arrive at our final destination. Br assured of our thoughts and prayers for you all.
Much love in our Savior, The Flanagan’s
