Prayer requests

June 20, 2010 by Simon and Annika Flanagan

Hi friends,

We as a family go into the tribe tomorrow to finish the outer shell of the house. We are taking a team of missionaries to help with the work.
Latest news:
Our volcano that’s just accross the valley is one of the top ten largest and most dangerous in the world. It is now very active and under a watch at stage two – just means lots of smoke – but has the potential to erupt.
We are out of water in the tribe with it being dry season, so washing in the river and carrying water for toilet flushing is the order of the day.
Simon got back from a 2 day trip to prepare for the work on the house this week – it went well and preperations are all in place for this coming week! We took a team in from Valley Fourth church who are here – great team we praise the Lord for their testimonies and work.
Prayer requests –
1) quiet volcano as we work – has the potential to shut down flights.
2) Safety as we work and fly lots in the week.
3) Rain to fill the tanks but not enoughto disrupt the work.
4) Health and sleep for us and the kids – we have had lots of sickness recently – Noah has croup and is up lots at night.
5) Pray for more funds to complete the house – we are thankful we have enough for the floor, walls and roof!
6) Pray for good testimonies in the village as we work and start discipleship / building relationships.
Thanks so much for your prayers, we are tired but trusting!
Big updates with lots of pics in a week or so!

Love in our Saviors name,
Simon, Annika, Nya and Noah
