Hi friends,
Well we did arrive a day late in Aus, but since we have gotten here things have gone pretty well. We are currently enjoy McDonald’s free wifi; and have partaken of our first golden arches food in over 1 yr! Today was a big day! We have even been to a supermarket (Big W – just like Walmart) and the choices and selection never cease to amaze us even though this isn’t our first rodeo (returning to the west). Needless to say the kids are going nuts, they don’t realize you have to pay for things at stores, this has caused a few problems and a chat with a security guard 🙂 They are so loud and shout when they see toy sections in the stores, which draws some attention; if only they could wear a sign that said, “sorry we grew up in the jungle!”.

We have a great Dr; we missed our appointment because of the delay but he asked us to come in on Sunday for Noah’s initial consultation. He did several tests and said it was conclusive that Noah needs tubes/grommets in his ears. The operation is one of the most common in the world and has a very low risk, but they still do have to put Noah under sedation. The operation was scheduled for Monday but because of the recent hurricane the water is a bit dirty and they are waiting for it clear up so the can sanitize equipment properly. So that means Noah’s operation is scheduled for Thursday morning at 7am. The op should be quick and he should recover by the next day. We will update you with news after the operation, we still hope to return at the same time.

Thanks for your prayers,
