Olden – speaking the truth! Praise God.

August 2, 2012 by Simon and Annika Flanagan

One of our youngest believers, Olden is soaking up the truths of the word of God. Olden is around 6 years old.

Just the other day Olden was coming back from school with some of his friends. He asked them all, if they worshiped statues? They all said yes. Olden proceeded to tell them how Statues are just made of stone and stuff like that, they cant help you with your sins. He told them there is only one God and only Jesus can help us with our sin problem. “You must be crazy to worship statues”, he said, “you should come and hear Gods word with us”.

This made all of kids really angry and they beat Olden up on the road. One of our believing ladies, Apite found him laying on the road crying. He was so upset that they beat him up when he was just trying to help them. I had a chance to chat with him and encourage him that God saw all that happened. I told him that He is a good father and is so happy that Olden is standing on God’s truth and trying to help him. I assured him that God will honor him for lifting up Gods name and trying to share the good news with others. When he heard that his face lit up! Praise God for Olden and his child like faith that we all desire. God is at work amongst the Mengen people, thank-you for your continued prayers and support.

In Christ,Simon, Annika, Nya and Noah.
