After some painful visits to the hospital in town, where they tried to remove the metal with a needle, I was able to have the eye looked at by a doctor. Daniel Moore from Carrubbers was here at our missions station doing a translation workshop, he was able to remove some of the metal with a needle but as we weren’t able to get it all out i had to go to Aus as the risk of infection was to great. I flew to Cairns and stayed with some NTM missionaries there; the hospital was great and gave us free treatment as we are from the UK. They drilled the metal out of my eye and checked it again two days later; i was given the all clear and was able to return. I have to say it was very strange to be in a shopping mall and see a McDonalds. My eye should be back to normal in a couple of weeks, is feeling much better and is infection free. Thanks so much for all of your prayers and well wishes.
