How do you love God?

November 19, 2013 by Stephen and Amber Clement

Off to class!

Life has been extremely busy for me and Amber.  We have been analyzing multiple languages to see what they can do. We will analyze over 140 different languages this semester.  This last month we have had some very difficult languages.  Consequently, we haven’t had a lot of free time.
God has been teaching us about what love is. Is love strictly doing something for somebody else? Or is love enjoying someone else? This has been our recent challenge. My tendency is to enjoy God.  However, my wife’s tendency is to work for God. Which are both really good when in balance. When I get out of balance I don’t do anything for God. When Amber gets out of balance she doesn’t enjoy Him. So we have realized that loving God is both enjoying him and doing things for Him.  Because of this I have been more diligent in my actions and Amber has been relaxing and enjoying God more. Since we have realized this, life has been a lot better.
