Is it a boy or a girl????

August 17, 2015 by Stephen and Amber Clement

We spent a week in Santos, São Paulo with a family from the school here.  They said it was so we could have a vacation.  It was really great but far from a vacation.  Never have our brains been so tired. However, we did get to learn a lot more about culture and listened to a ton of language.

Our understanding of the language has improved, although, talking is still very difficult.  A missionary out from a tribe spoke at the school here and we understood enough to cry at his story.  There is a tribe near his that keeps begging for missionaries.  This missionary, sadly, has to respond that there is no one to send. At times I worry that we won’t even be able to learn this language but as I looked at my husband crying for these lost people I wondered would God really give him such a heart for these people and not the ability to go tell them of His love?

Stephen helped the missionary demonstrate how to learn a language.

People here can’t believe that we don’t want to find out if we are having a boy or a girl before it is born.  ….How far should you go to fit into a culture?

Free! because of Christ,
Stephen and Amber and a bun in the oven!
