“Risky Episode” really blessed me-thank you for posting! The NBA and risk assessments/stats these days…really something-The joy and contentment comes through in your voice, even in these difficulties, risks, and all that goes along with living on the mission field.
I am reminded of Paul’s relaying his learning to be content in all circumstances and I’m wondering when/if I will get there…it is part of the process of sanctification I am thinking…
In listening to your experiences I am reminded of the joy that Christ gives us and the peace that covers us in times of trial because of His great love and mercy. He has never failed to answer and is faithful as in the verse to “call on me in times of trouble and I will answer thee..” proves to be true again and again.
Thank you for the timely reminder of our default position as Christians/ it is not strange to have fiery trials in fact the times where everything goes really well is the exception not the rule. Why do we seem surprised when it’s very difficult and we are lead to cry out to Him for help! The road our Lord traveled was
not one of ease. But the way He has prepared for us is the best road for us and He will keep us and bless us with His steadfast love, mercy, and even joy, along the way.
Thank you for sharing your experience, it is great to hear how you are getting along, also it helps one get a better idea of what it would be like to be a missionary and some of the things you might face.
Indeed God did not give us a statement that our safety and risk management is priority. God did say that our number 1 priority is to share the Gospel, which when believed, secures ours and other believers safety, for eternity!
