I have “furlough” written by these verses in Acts in my Bible. Technically, we’re supposed to call it “home assignment” as the ministry overseas still continues on while we take this “leave of absence” for a few months. It’s probably confusing to some, like we’re on a 4.5 month “vacation”. Hmmm, not sure who would get that long of a vacation in this day and age. Anyway, whatever you want to call it, we are back in the good ol’ USA to “report everything God has done” in this ministry to the Moi. We’re absolutely loving reconnecting with friends and family, as you’ll notice in all our pictures in this update. <\/p>\n
Someone asked if we see changes or have to adjust to this “whole new world” here in our homeland. Yes, yes, yes. Even going up to pump gas for the first time when we get back, I have to try to remember which type of gas to choose and where to put the credit card, without drawing too much attention. Stephen notices that men’s socks are different lengths every time we’re back; thankfully we can google “what to wear and not wear in your homeland.” That’s why international workers used to come home wearing pith helmets in the last century; we get outdated. Ha ha. <\/p>\n
The list could go on with “adjustments” but we’re blown away by the refreshment we feel from being around the body of Christ here in America.
