Luke's Warts<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

So what do warts and a radiator have in common?\u00a0 Duct Tape!\u00a0 This past week we took Luke and Abigail to a doctor because we noticed they had warts on the bottom of their feet. \u00a0The doctor recommended that she \u201ccut\u201d the warts off their feet.\u00a0 This did not appeal to us, especially since she said they would not be able to stand, walk, or run for five days.\u00a0 We talked about it, and prayed about it for a couple days, and did not have peace to go ahead with such drastic measures.\u00a0 Ginger went online and did a little researching.\u00a0 First she found several websites which said not to cut warts off, but rather to try some home remedies.\u00a0 Another website recommended using duct tape to cover the warts, like a bandaid, for several weeks until the warts came off.\u00a0 Well, we thought this might be worth trying so we purchased a roll of duct tape and were planning on trying this back in the village.\u00a0 Today, we loaded the vehicle and started our three-hour journey back to the village.\u00a0 Halfway home, or 69 kilometers later, we noticed the temperature of the engine was very high.\u00a0 Stephen immediately pulled off the road and we then noticed steam coming from the engine.\u00a0 Upon opening the hood, Stephen quickly realized the radiator hose had a crack in it.<\/p>\n

Now that we found the problem, how do we fix this hose?\u00a0 There are no tow trucks on our island and the nearest vehicle repair shop was 67 kilometers away.\u00a0 Then we remembered the duct tape.\u00a0 Stephen cleaned off the hose and wrapped it with duct tape.\u00a0 There was an isolated house about 500 meters away.\u00a0 Stephen grabbed all our bottles in the vehicle and went down and asked if they had water.\u00a0 They were very helpful and within a few minutes the radiator was full again and we headed back down to Puerto (where the mechanic is).\u00a0 On our way back, Abigail said, \u201cThank God we had warts so we would have duct tape to fix the hose\u201d!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
