Bible Club<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The last few months, everything seemed to be going well, very well.\u00a0 Friend Sunday in May was a success with over 50 visitors to church; Sports Bible Camp reached almost 50 teens; weekly attendance in Youth Group is averaging over 30; the new Kids\u2019 Bible Club started with an attendance of 47 kids; the Luke Bible Study had 16 in attendance last Tuesday.\u00a0 Every week, almost 100 villagers enter our home to study God\u2019s Word.\u00a0 Every week, believers are being strengthened in the faith and unbelievers are hearing the Good News.\u00a0 We are truly excited to see what God is doing in this village.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1732\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1732\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1732\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/stephen-jordan\/files\/2016\/07\/IMG_0950-300x228.jpg\" alt=\"The stairs Ginger fell down\" width=\"300\" height=\"228\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/stephen-jordan\/files\/2016\/07\/IMG_0950-300x228.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/stephen-jordan\/files\/2016\/07\/IMG_0950-768x584.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/stephen-jordan\/files\/2016\/07\/IMG_0950-600x457.jpg 600w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/stephen-jordan\/files\/2016\/07\/IMG_0950.jpg 845w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1732\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The stairs Ginger fell down<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Amidst all this, it seems that God wants us to pause. \u00a0This past Sunday morning, as I, Stephen, was finalizing my Sunday message, Ginger came falling down our hard ironwood stairs.\u00a0 She came to a sudden stop after slamming her head into the wooden door at the bottom.\u00a0 I threw my papers on the floor and ran to where she lay, her neck was in an awkward position as her head still bore the weight of her entire body.\u00a0 Immediately, I was concerned that she might be paralyzed.\u00a0 Thankfully, we were able to get her out of the tight landing area and to our couch.\u00a0 Her head was bleeding and her right arm was very, very sore.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1733\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1733\" style=\"width: 228px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1733\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/stephen-jordan\/files\/2016\/07\/IMG_0938-228x300.jpg\" alt=\"Ginger at the hospital getting an x-ray\" width=\"228\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/stephen-jordan\/files\/2016\/07\/IMG_0938-228x300.jpg 228w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/stephen-jordan\/files\/2016\/07\/IMG_0938-600x788.jpg 600w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/stephen-jordan\/files\/2016\/07\/IMG_0938.jpg 643w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 228px) 100vw, 228px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1733\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ginger at the hospital getting an x-ray<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>After getting her to the couch, I proceeded to get everyone up with the words: \u00a0&#8220;Get up and start packing.\u00a0 We need to get Mom to the hospital.&#8221; \u00a0After an hour of packing, loading the vehicle, and notifying two believers of the situation, we started the three-hour drive to the hospital.\u00a0 Praise the Lord, at 10 am we arrived at the hospital.\u00a0 Five hours later and five x-rays later, Ginger was released with the diagnosis of no broken bones.<\/p>\n<p>However, it was a long night for Ginger.\u00a0 She was still in extreme pain and did not sleep well.\u00a0 After consulting with a friend in the States, we decided Monday morning to go see a different doctor for a second opinion.\u00a0 Immediately, he saw in the x-rays what the ER didn\u2019t see: a fracture just below the elbow.\u00a0 Thankfully, the bone was still in-line and she doesn\u2019t need a cast.\u00a0 We aren\u2019t excited to hear the news that Ginger\u2019s arm is broken but we are thankful to finally know why she was in so much pain.<\/p>\n<p>This morning, Tuesday, Ginger tells us that she slept much better and the pain has subsided a little.\u00a0 Also this morning, the bruises are now appearing with color.\u00a0 Just on her face alone, she has five bruises: \u00a0her forehead (where she hit the door), her chin, her cheek, and two black and blue eyes.\u00a0 Sorry, but I will &#8220;dwell according to knowledge&#8221; with my wife and not share a picture with you all.<\/p>\n<p>Please be praying for us, especially for Ginger\u2019s healing.\u00a0 She says she doesn\u2019t remember the fall, but she might be experiencing the event over and over in her mind.\u00a0 The first night, I kept on dreaming the fall and seeing her lying on the floor.\u00a0 Truly, it is amazing that God protected her from a more serious injury.<\/p>\n<p>Through this fall, we feel that God is pushing the pause button.\u00a0 We have decided to remain in Puerto for a week for Ginger to heal and to wait for her check-up.\u00a0 As a result, we have decided to cancel all our Bible Studies for two weeks.\u00a0 The believers will still meet on Sunday and I have spoken to one of them to prepare a message.\u00a0 This will be the first time ever, a believer is preparing his very own message with no guide or outline from a missionary.\u00a0 We pray that this accident will be used for God\u2019s glory and the believers will see the need for themselves to be more active in the church.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you all for partnering with us through prayer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The last few months, everything seemed to be going well, very well.\u00a0 Friend Sunday in May was a success with over 50 visitors to church;
