Yesterday, we traveled three hours back to the village, unpacked, and prepared for another week of school and work.\u00a0 This morning, as Stephen was outside, he noticed that something wasn\u2019t quite right with the outside door.\u00a0 Upon closer examination, he noticed that a board was out of place.\u00a0 Our doors have large spaces at the bottom through which snakes and other unwanted critters could easily enter our house.\u00a0 For this reason, Stephen has blocked this large crack by gluing down a piece of wood on the outside of the door.\u00a0 Upon examining this board, Stephen wondered:\u00a0 \u201cDid someone try to break into our house while we were away?\u201d\u00a0 Then in amazement, he realized the board was knocked out of place by Ginger\u2019s fall and impact upon the door.\u00a0 The door Ginger impacted only opens by swinging into the house and is very well secured by two dead bolt locks.\u00a0 However, Ginger\u2019s impact caused this door to be pushed outward, causing this particular board to be thrusted out of place even though it had been very well glued down.\u00a0 In amazement of this new piece of evidence, we once again praise God that Ginger\u2019s injuries weren\u2019t more severe.<\/p>\n

In our absence from the village, we hear that the Sunday worship last Sunday went well.\u00a0 One believer didn\u2019t know that Stephen had asked another man to prepare something and to teach in our absence.\u00a0 The believer who didn\u2019t know this had also prepared his own message to share.\u00a0 This believer stopped by today and shared this with Stephen.\u00a0 During his visit he said to Stephen, \u201cWe need to be ready.\u201d\u00a0 In these few words, he summarized our ministry here among the Agutaynen believers: \u00a0To equip and to make ready.\u00a0 Ready for what?\u00a0 Ready to lead their own.\u00a0 Ready to defend their faith in Christ alone.\u00a0 Ready to let the missionary go.<\/p>\n

A door stopped Ginger\u2019s fall, but nothing can stop the spread of the Good News.<\/p>\n
