With only seven more weeks in the village before heading to the US for our delayed Home Assignment, we are striving to finish strong. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ginger has worked hard over the last few weeks preparing materials for the teen girls to use as Bible study material for the next few years during their Saturday Bible study.  And now Ginger has turned her focus toward revamping curriculum to be used next year for Kid\u2019s Bible Club, house to house. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, Stephen and Ginger have been working on a three-week Bible lesson for teen girls concerning purity.\u00a0 Last Sunday, we met with the mothers of the girls to discuss the importance of this class.\u00a0 They all seemed excited for this opportunity.\u00a0 This class will begin this Saturday and we are encouraging the mothers to also attend with their daughters. \u00a0We will have something special for the girls who commit to purity, which is almost unheard of here in the Philippines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stephen has spent many months working with the believers to develop a curriculum for 1 Corinthians and hopes to finish this project in March.\u00a0 Once completed, Gerry and Boboy will be teaching this material on Sunday mornings during the duration of our time in the States.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of March, we hope to have one final outreach for the teens of the village.\u00a0 We are calling it \u201cYouth Bible Camp.\u201d\u00a0 Basically, this will be similar to our former years of Sports Bible Camp, but this year we need to enforce social distancing and wearing of face masks. \u00a0Therefore, no basketball or volleyball this year, but there will still be plenty of the Bible.\u00a0 The theme will be, \u201cThe Greatest Man \u2013 Jesus Christ.\u201d\u00a0 We appreciate your prayers as we give it all we can as we stretch for the finish line.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we stretch for the finish line in the Philippines, we are warming up for our return to the States toward the end of April.\u00a0 Please pray for us as we try to figure out what requirements we need to fulfill in order to fly domestically to Manila, for proper paperwork including negative covid tests, and then our flights to the States.\u00a0 Already, several churches have contacted us, and we have twelve meetings lined up.\u00a0 However, there are still several opportunities open during our Home Assignment to come visit you.\u00a0 Please let us know if you would like us to visit and share with your church family.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
