Throughout the years, we have been invited to numerous weddings here in the village.  But none of them were as special as the one Stephen attended last week.  What made this wedding so special?  This is the first wedding here with two believers, both members of our church.  Please rejoice with us as Joey and Karen were joined together in marriage last week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Stephen and none of our church leaders are licensed to marry, the wedding took place at the local Mayor\u2019s office.  The Mayor, who is not a believer, permitted Gerry, one of the church leaders, to open the ceremony in prayer and also gave Stephen an opportunity to \u201cgive advice\u201d to the new couple.  With the hopes of such an opportunity, Stephen had prepared a short challenge for Joey and Karen from Ephesians 5:24-25 and was able to share at the ceremony!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it;\u201d  Ephesians 5<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Please pray with us for Joey and Karen, that their love for each other and their love for their Savior will increase each and every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
